Overnight, for days to expiration of term, terrorist organization of HAMAS declared the end of truce officially, concluding with Israel in June, 19 of this year. Representative of HAMAS Fauzi Barhum declared to journalists, that organization does not see a renewal of truce option and laid responsibility for it on Israel.

Barhum also declared, that now HAMAS “has a right to give an answer for any act of aggression in regard to the Palestinian people, it is our national debt”.

Edition marks that, although during the last semiyear the amount of rockets of “kasam”, falling on territory of Israel, substantially grew short, for last few dates intensity of rocket fires again grew sharply. Before this week one of leaders of HAMAS in the Gaza Strip Makhmud az-Zahar declared that a truce would not be concluded until Israel will not pick up thread supplying with food, fuel and other commodities.

Army guidance declares that an army is fully ready to any variant of development of events, including a large-scale operation in the Gaza Strip. At the same time, presently prime minister Ekhud Olmert, secretary of defence Ehud Barrack and chief of general staff Gabi Ashkenazi argue against a similar operation.

Political guidance of country ordered an army to prepare “the step package of measures” which can be accepted in reply to the actions of HAMAS. The government of Olmert expects to compel guidance of HAMAS to agree to the extension of truce. However the question is not about that, to reconcile with continuation of rocket fires of Israel territory.

On Wednesday after the incessant rocket fires of Israel territory, as a result of which three habitants of Sderot suffered, Minister of Defence Ekhud Barrack considered necessary to explain position of government in regard to the leadthrough of military operation in the Gaza Strip.

“We are not afraid to conduct a military operation in the Gaza Strip, however we would not like to conduct it, – he declared during appearance on the forum of Institute of research of national safety in Tel-Aviv’s university. – If a situation will force us to operate – we will operate, choosing suitable time and place. I offer to you to leave this decision political guidance”.

In the appearance Minister of Defence called the press “not to force a situation” and not interfere guidance of country to accept the self-weighted and considered decisions.

“I adhere the same policy, that was conducted by the late Ickhak Rabin, – Barrack marked. – Wars were and will be, but it is needed to the best of abilities to remove them, to enable Israel to develop”.
