Education plays a very important role in life of society. Level of literacy of Israel is one of the highest in the world. The state system of education is based on the Jewish system (teaching is conducted on Hebrew), and Arabic system (teaching is conducted on Arabic), both are subsidized the state. Also in Israel there are many academys, enjoying international authority. The eldest from them is the Jewish university in Jerusalem. Khayf university prepares engineers, technologists, architects. Bar-Ilan university is specialized on humanitarian and religious disciplines. The university by name of Ben-Guriona is specialized on training of personnels for the Sonth districts of country.
